Caldbeck in North Cumbria is one of the most beautiful and peaceful of all the Lakeland villages and is ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, the Scottish Borders, the Eden Valley and the North Pennines. The surrounding areas have so much to offer everyone.
Steeped in history, dating back to the 13th century, this area has seen many changes over the centuries. Industries have come and gone. Many of the village buildings were built in the 17th Century and are now housing New Shops and Local Services catering for visitors and locals alike.
Superb walking exists within easy reach of all the villages in the Northern Fells, catering for all levels. You can walk for miles and not see a soul - enjoy the peace & quiet and listen to the birds singing. This really is a great place to spend some time.
