No matter what you are looking for from your holiday, Carrock Cottages are the ideal stepping stone to the perfect break.
Carrock Cottages are recently renovated stone built cottages set on the fringe of the Lakeland Fells, close to the villages of Hesket Newmarket, Caldbeck and Greystoke. Explore the beauty of the English Lake District or head North to historic Carlisle and on to Hadrian's Wall. The market town of Penrith is only 10 miles away with its shops and restaurants, and Keswick and Ullswater both only 20 minutes drive away.
Our rural setting offers visitors a choice of recently converted light and airy cottages. Each provides all the modern home comforts you'd expect from a top quality holiday development with underfloor heating, a fully fitted kitchen and sitting room with TV, Video and DVD. The stylish decor and furnishing provide a comfortable and homely atmosphere, yet the cottages retain their rustic character with exposed oak beams, stone window frames and wood burning stoves.

All guest have access to our large DVD library and a games console is also available with games. Barbeque equipment too. We have ample on-site parking and storage for bicycles.
As you approach the properties, Carrock Fell provides a dramatic backdrop with our Highland Cattle grazing peaceful to the side of our drive. There is also a large south facing lawn area for sitting, games and barbeques. Opposite there is a grassed area for soft ball games and other ielsure activities. We can take pets by arrangement for a small one-off charge of £15.00.
Carrock Cottages are also pleased to be able to provide all our cottages with a home cooked meals service. These can be ordered from various menus and they will be fully prepared and placed in your fridge with re-heating instructions.

If you are travelling by road, use the A66 from Scotch Corner (to Penrith) or leave the M6 at Junction 41.
From there follow the B5305 towards Wigton and take the left turn signposted Lamonby (after 8 miles).
Through Lamonby turn right at the crossroads marked Caldbeck.
