Cobblestones - Brackenthwaite - Self Catering Holiday Cottage
Welcome to Cobblestones at Hillside Farm, Brackenthwaite - DOG FRIENDLY holiday accommodation on the fringe of the Lake District.
Cobblestones is a recently converted barn set amidst beautiful rural scenery in the village of Brackenthwaite. It is a tranquil retreat, yet only 3 miles from the market town of Wigton (good shopping), 10 miles from the historic city of Carlisle and Caldbeck itself is only 8 miles away. There are a number of excellent bars and restaurants in the locality offering a wide variety of good food and ale.
We're in an ideal location for exploring the Lake District National Park, Hadrian's Wall, the Solway Coast and the Scottish Borders. For keen walkers, guided walks with the Ramblers are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The self-catering accommodation is reached via external stairs leading to an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. The original oak beams and slit windows have been retained. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery, etc. Internal stairs lead to the ground floor where there is a fully fitted shower room and a very spacious king size double bedroom. All bedding and towels are provided. Sleeps 2.
Outside is a garden area where you can relax or dine al-fresco. Barbeque equipment is available

Location:-
From the M6 heading north, turn off at Junction 41 onto the B5305 towards Wigton. After about 15 miles turn right at Brackenthwaite sign (NOT HIGH BRACKENTHWAITE) then left and first right into driveway.
From Carlisle, follow the A595 towards Cockermouth. After about 10 miles, turn left at Brackenthwaite sign and Hillside is 0.75 miles on left.
