Adrian Savage aims to introduce Lake District mountain biking to those who are relatively new to the sport. By giving a taste of what this mighty, but often daunting area has to offer, with some stunning rides, jam packed with highlights. They will have a little bit of everything the Lake District has to offer, but in more manageable, bite-size rides.

Come on some of the best rides, not just in the Lakes, but in the whole country! You can also pick up riding tips as you go. You needn't worry about navigation or not being familiar with the terrain, we are here to make it as safe and stress free as possible, so you can enjoy the ride and soak up the breathtaking scenery.

What can Savvy Lake District Mountain Biking offer?
Anything from a half day Lake District taster ride, to a full days more challenging ride.

Also, as Savvy are based from a guest house in the North Lakes (Swaledale Watch), we can offer full mountain biking holidays, with B&B, packed lunches and several days riding all included.

A complete mountain biking package, which can include hire of top quality bikes, all the kit and equipment needed for an enjoyable Lake District mountain biking experience.

Costs from:

• Short ride - £15 + £10 bike hire if required
• Medium ride - £20 + £12.50 bike hire if required
• Long ride - £25 + £15 bike hire if required

Typically ride durations:

• Short rides are 1.5hrs – 2.5hrs
• Medium rides are 2hrs – 4hrs
• Long rides are over 4 hrs

The special bike-hire rate above is only available to those taking the bike as part of a Guided Ride Package.

Cycle Hire
For experienced or those who prefer to discover The Lake District without a guide, high-specification and very high-quality new mountain bikes are available to hire. All our bikes are from Giant, one of the leading bike manufacturers in the world. Both hard-tail and full-suspension bikes are available at competitive rates:

Giant XTC (Hard Tail) / Giant Trance X (Full Suspension) / Child's Giant XTC
£20 / day £25 / day £10 / day respectively

Some quality road bikes are also available if you wish to explore the picturesque Lake District villages by road. Please ask for details.
