Strand Bank is a modern and spacious bed and breakfast guest house nestling in a peaceful valley on the banks of the River Caldew, at the edge of the Northern Fells of the Lake District National Park.

We are situated just 100 metres from the Cumbria Way, 1 mile from the Reivers cycle route and offer a warm welcome to walkers and cyclists. The picturesque Lakeland villages of Caldbeck and Hesket Newmarket are just 3 miles along the river and we offer a pick up and drop off service for walkers.

Strand Bank is enclosed by an acre of garden, newly planted woodland and river bank and is host to a great variety of wildlife, including our native red squirrels.

We will make every effort to make sure that your stay with us is a memorable one. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and comfort and our aim will be to ensure you feel very much at home.

We have a double and a twin room which have been individually furnished to a very high standard and each room has a private dedicated bathroom directly opposite; each bathroom includes a walk-in shower and luxury fittings.

A touch of luxury is offered with quality down duvets and pillows, fine cotton bed linen, and the use of freshly laundered bathrobes.

Each room offers a colour television and DVD/CD player; a selection of DVDs is available for guests to use during their stay. Tea and Coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer are available in each room.

Prices start from £30.00 per person per night B&B. (£35 for single occupancy).

Home cooked evening meals (£12.50 for 2 courses) are available in our bright and airy conservatory, with views over the garden, or on the south facing patio if the weather permits.

Wherever possible our food is sourced locally and prepared fresh for you, and you can enjoy a hearty breakfast whilst watching the variety of wildlife in the garden.
 
Freshly prepared packed lunches can be provided, by prior arrangement, for £5.00 per person, including drink.
