Woodlands is a rather special combination - delightful hotel accommodation at Woodlands Country House plus outstanding self catering accommodation, Woodlands Cottage.
Woodlands Country House is a lovely Victorian house, now an attractive 7 bedroomed hotel set in a glorious rural setting and perfectly placed to ensure a wonderful holiday in the Lake District.
We endeavour to make Woodlands a special place for our guests - immaculate decor, its own unique warmth of character and delicious food and wine. We run Woodlands with a very personal style - most of our guests return and we hope you will too. Relax and enjoy the company of your fellow guests and chat in our bar and snug.
Each room has its own distinctive style, from the relaxing lounge through to each of our seven en-suite bedrooms. All rooms receive the little touches that mean so much. Rooms are available on a bed & breakfast (B&B) or dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Please note - we are a non-smoking country house hotel.
Woodlands Cottage is a stable conversion of the main house and is in a beautiful position to take in all the delights that Cumbria and the Scottish Borders can offer.
The accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen, a large dining/living room with a wood burning stove, a double bedroom, bathroom and a further bedroom with full sized bunks or single bed. It is ideal for a family, or for two or three persons. The principle form of heating is night storage and the electricity is included.
The cottage has its own lawned garden area with a barbecue and patio chairs/table and a small enclosed yard filled with cottage garden flowers.
Guests in Woodlands Cottage are welcome to use the bar in Woodlands Country House or to book breakfast or dinner in the house according to availability.
Well behaved pets are welcome in Woodlands Cottage at a small additional charge.
Ireby is a traditional farming village nestling amongst the hills on the northern edge of the Lake District National Park. Step back in time and enjoy a totally unspoilt area of Cumbria where the rush hour traffic consists of the cows on their way to be milked or a flock of sheep being driven along the lanes.
Opening dates: Woodlands is open all year including Christmas & New Year.
