A former Victorian rectory, offering licensed guest accommodation, with many original features and modern comforts in individually styled rooms.

Sat in its own grounds, with stunning views over the fells towards Skiddaw, Binsey and the pastures of Caldbeck and Boltongate.

Each room has its own distinctive style, from the relaxing lounge through to each of our seven en-suite rooms. All rooms receive the little touches that mean so much.

We are a family friendly establishment. We want children to enjoy their stay as much as the grown-ups. Everything from their arrival to breakfast, just for them.

Dinner available to non-residents - advanced booking is required.

B&B prices:

Bed & breakfast: £120 per night (double /twin)
Age over 12 years: £60 per night.
Age 3-12 years: £20 per night.
Under 2's are FREE.
Cot: FREE of charge.

Dinner:

We are currently running a ‘table d’hôte’ set menu which changes daily with the availability of seasonal and local produce. 

Our dishes are familiar British classics with European influences from France, Austria and Italy. 

Our dessert selection features local organic, vegetarian-friendly cheese from Torpenhow, just 2 miles away.  

Children are very welcome to dine with their families and we will happily tailor food to suit their taste buds.

We hold a selection of fine wines from around the world to suit all tastes and budgets. 

The bar stocks local Cumbrian beers from Hesket Newmarket and Tirrils of Appleby. 

You’ll find Lakes Distillery gin, vodka and whiskies, produced just 4 miles away, as well as familiar branded spirits and soft drinks.
